Visitors who came to see Disc Brake Australia (DBA) at the 2023 AAAA AutoCare exhibition in Brisbane (9 – 10 June 2023) encountered a showcase of the most comprehensive range of brake components.

Over nearly five decades of engineering and manufacturing cutting edge brake rotors, the DBA name has become synonymous with technology and quality leadership. Many innovations in rotor technology bear the DBA trademark. However, recognising the customers’ need for a ‘one stop brake shop’, DBA over the last decade has expanded its product offering, applying the same uncompromising quality approach to its range of brake pads and hydraulic components that customers have come to appreciate from their market leading brake rotors.

Consequently, DBA showcased its full range of ‘wheel end’ braking components at the 2023 AutoCare show. Leading the way at the top were the performance options, comprising of 5000 SERIES two-piece brake rotors and their Xtreme Performance and Race Performance brake pads complements. The latter being a new addition to DBA’s range of brake pads, released to the market just ahead of the show and on display at AutoCare for the first time! This is not a pad for the faint-hearted. Initial track tests have confirmed superior stopping power over prolonged periods of time at extreme temperatures, thanks to a new, unique carbon fibre-enhanced friction formulation.

Completing the line-up of upgrade and performance products was the 4000 SERIES rotor range and Street Performance brake pads. The 4000 SERIES rotor is arguably the most versatile in DBA’s arsenal, featuring the patented Kangaroo Paw vane design for enhanced cooling and T3 slot pattern for superior outgassing and pedal feel properties. It is equally suitable for GVM upgrades and heavy towing on utes and 4WDs as it is for spirited driving and even light track work in a performance street car.

Last up was the STREET SERIES family of brake products, DBA’s most comprehensive product line. Aimed at the trade and workshop market as a comprehensive OE-replacement offering, it comprises not only market leading vehicle coverage for brake rotors and pads including those specifically developed for Electric Vehicles, but also includes brake master and wheel cylinders, calipers, hoses, and pad wear sensors. Having set the quality standard with its STREET SERIES rotor range for many decades, DBA has developed its entire STREET SERIES range on the same strict quality principles, giving customers the peace of mind that the parts will be of even, if not better, quality than the original components they replace.

As part of the STREET SERIES display, DBA for the first time also showcased its new Hybrid Composite two-piece brake rotor for luxury and premium European vehicles, designed to offer vehicle owners a replacement option without compromising on the performance or looks of the original component.
